Broncos Tight End Virgil Green Out After Sustaining Concussion
DENVER (CBS4/The Sports Xchange) - Denver Broncos tight end Virgil Green left the game against the New England Patriots in the first quarter after suffering an apparent concussion.
Green was injured during the Broncos' second offensive series. He took a hard hit from Patriots defensive end Chris Long after catching a short pass over the middle from quarterback Trevor Siemian.

Green, the starting tight end, was taken to the locker room and soon after the team announced he wouldn't return to the game.
Tight end Jeff Heuerman saw more action in the game after Green's departure.
