Broncos Sign Tight End Richard Gordon, D-Lineman Phil Taylor

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) - The Denver Broncos signed free agent tight end Richard Gordon and defensive lineman Phil Taylor on Monday.

Gordon is a sixth-year pro and a big blocker who spent seven weeks with Denver last season, playing in one game. He has played in 35 career games with the Raiders, Chiefs, Titans and Broncos.

Taylor is a fifth-year pro who was out of football last year after playing for the Cleveland Browns from 2011-14. He was the 21st overall draft pick out of Baylor in 2011.

Taylor started 42 of 44 games for the Browns, making seven career sacks and 109 tackles.

The Broncos have much bigger decisions looming as they set out to defend their Super Bowl title. Peyton Manning's potential retirement, plus re-signing free agent quarterback Brock Osweiler and Super Bowl MVP linebacker Von Miller head that list.
