Broncos Release 3 Players, Another To Sign With Jaguars

DENVER (CBS4) - The Denver Broncos released several big name players from their roster Tuesday morning.

Right guard Louis Vasquez, long snapper Aaron Brewer, and tight end Owen Daniels will not be returning to Denver at the start of the new league year. The new league year begins at 2 p.m. Wednesday.

"These decisions are never easy, but we appreciate the contributions Louis, Owen and Aaron made to our team, especially during our Super Bowl run," said Executive Vice President/General Manager John Elway.

Malik Jackson is expected to leave the Broncos after reportedly agreeing to a deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to the NFL Network.

Vasquez started all but one regular-season game in the last three seasons and all seven postseason matches. Daniels, signed by Denver as an unrestricted free agent from Baltimore last year, ranked third on the Broncos in receptions (46), receiving yards (517) and receiving touchdowns (3) during 2015.
