Broncos Re-Hire Gary Kubiak

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - The Denver Broncos have rehired their former head coach Gary Kubiak.

As first reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter, the "Broncos have hired their former HC Gary Kubiak as a scouting advisor based in Texas."

Kubiak will be back in Denver for occasional meetings, according to the Broncos who confirmed the earlier report, after leaving the team just seven months ago.

"It's an honor for me to continue to be part of this great organization," Kubiak said. "John [Elway] and I talked long ago about any opportunity like this, and I'm very happy to be able to contribute on the personnel side.

"I said when I left that I still wanted to be involved in football. This gives me an opportunity to be involved with the game, and I'm excited to get to work."

The team did reach a new agreement to keep John Elway on as general manager Monday.
