Broncos Notebook Oct. 7: Team Prepares For Rival Raiders

Post practice notes from Gary Kubiak:

-Says he expects Derek Wolfe to play 50+% of defensive snaps this week. Will have tough decision on who to suit up and play with him returning.

-Offensive line is a wait and see situation for who plays this weekend.

-Said Raiders defense looks like a combo of Jack Del Rio/Denver and Ken Norton/Seattle. (Norton is Raiders defensive coordinator.)

-Remembers great games between Broncos and Raiders dating back to LA Coliseum days, he even got one of his rare starts against the Raiders.

Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio (former Broncos defensive coordinator) did a conference call before practice:

On facing former players: "I don't get too cranked up about things like that, but you do want to play well against guys you know."

Ok what he sees from Manning: "Nothing but respect for Peyton, he is as good as there is."

On if there is an advantage having seen Manning up close the last 3 years:

"I wish, he has seen it all, on top of preparation, work ethic second to none. Has broken every record and will break the rest shortly."

On Chris Harris not guarding TY Hilton last year in playoffs:

"In the past, they can matchup however they want moving forward. Not going into the past."
