Broncos Notebook, Nov. 26: Quick Practice Before Thanksgiving

DENVER (CBS4) - The Broncos went to work early Thursday morning so players could get home before noon for Thanksgiving.

Due to the snowy weather, the team practiced indoors Thursday.  Head coach Gary Kubiak said he would prefer practicing in the elements. However, with ice on the fields, safety was the over-riding factor to take the team inside.

DeMarcus Ware did not practice Thursday. He's expected to miss his third straight game this Sunday due to a back injury. Kubiak thought Ware was making progress toward rejoining the lineup in the near future.

Evan Mathis was also held out of practice again Thursday. He's dealing with an ankle injury suffered in the Bears game. Mathis may end up as a game-time decision on Sunday afternoon.

Emmanuel Sanders, Owen Daniels and Vance Walker were all limited at Thursday's practice.

Sanders missed the Chicago game with a high ankle sprain.

With a short work day, the locker room, as you might imagine, was very upbeat after practice. Players dressed quickly and headed for the exits. On their way out, several players chastised the small media contingent in attendance for working on a holiday. We kind of agreed.
