Broncos Land Free-Agent Defensive Lineman Antonio Smith

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - The Denver Broncos on Thursday announced they have signed free-agent defensive lineman Antonio Smith to a one-year contract.

Smith is entering his 12th year in the NFL with experience playing for Arizona, Houston and most recently Oakland. He was the Cardinal's fifth round draft pick out of Oklahoma State University.

He's played in nearly every game the last six seasons and "is one of just eight NFL players to produce multiple sacks in every season since 2005," the Broncos said in a statement.

Smith played for Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak and defensive line coach Bill Kollar in Houston where he tallied 27 of his 44.5 career sacks.

Details of the agreement weren't released.
