Boy Scouts Trailer Stolen With Cooking, Camping Gear Inside

BROOMFIELD, Colo. (CBS4)- A trailer for a Boy Scout camping event was stolen from a storage lot leaving the troops without its cooking or camping gear.

The Webelos Weekend Workhorse trailer was stolen on Wednesday night from a storage lot at 118th and Coleman in Broomfield.

Inside the trailer was all the cooking gear to feed more than 600 participants in the annual Gateway District Webelos Weekend Camping Event. The event is scheduled for the first weekend after Memorial Day.

This is the 40th year for the Gateway District Webelos Weekend Camping Event. Now the troops don't have a way to cook for the hundreds of Webelos.

The trailer is white with "Webelos Weekend Workhorse" painted in blue on both sides with CO license plate number 201-CZT.

Anyone with information about the trailer is asked to call Broomfield police.
