Boy Scouts On Cross-Country Trip For Charity Make Stop In Breckenridge

BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. (CBS4) - Boy Scouts on a cross-country bike trip pedaled through Colorado on Wednesday.

The seven scouts started their journey in Oregon back in June. The two-month trip will take them nearly 4,000 miles across 11 states to North Carolina where they're from.

On Wednesday the scouts stopped in Breckenridge to share the reason behind the ride.

"The Be Loud! Sophie Foundation is a foundation for kids with cancer," scout David Margolies said. "Sophie Steiner -- she is the person who inspired the foundation. She went to high school with us. Unfortunately she passed away, so we felt it was a relevant cause."
