Boulder Votes To Regulate Short-Term Rentals Like Airbnb & VRBO

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - The Boulder City Council voted to tighten regulations on short-term vacation rentals.

The ordinance would target rentals made through websites like VRBO and Airbnb.

The Daily Camera reports the council voted 7-1 Tuesday night on an ordinance that only allows full-time residences be rented out, meaning the homeowners must live there at least 275 days a year.

It was the first reading of the ordnance. The city council could have a vote by the end of the summer.
