Crews Rescue Injured Red-Tailed Hawk From Light Pole In Boulder

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - Animal protection officers helped rescue an injured red-tailed hawk on Monday in Boulder. The hawk caught its wing in a light pole near 19th and Violet Streets.

Firefighters responded to the scene and used their ladder truck to reach the bird.

Officers were able to free the bird and take him to the Birds of Prey Foundation in Broomfield. The organization plans to release the hawk back into the wild once he heals.
