Boulder Police Search For Lolita's Robbery Suspects

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Boulder hope surveillance video will help lead them to the men who robbed a store that keeps being targeted by thieves.

Lolita's Market is a 24-hour store located at 800 Pearl Street in Boulder. It's been robbed three times in the past four months.

Police said the suspects who hit this store the first couple of times has been arrested. Now detectives are searching for a new pair of suspects who got away with cash.

Surveillance video captured one of the suspects just before 5 a.m. Tuesday walking towards the store in his CU Buffs T-shirt and Beatles pajamas. Police said the video clearly shows he's trying to hid a gun inside his pants.

Detectives believe the man was involved in an aggravated robbery that happened inside the store about 30 minutes after the video recorded him.

Police said the second suspect entered the store at 5:16 a.m. and approached the clerk, pulled out a gun and demanded cash from the register.

He got away with an unknown amount of cash but then gave a little bit back, saying it was for the clerk. He took off in a white SUV of unknown make and model. The vehicle was also described as looking like a minivan. No one was injured during the robbery.

That suspect is described as witnesses as a white male, 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-11. He was wearing black pants and a black hooded sweatshirt. The hood was pulled over the suspect's head. He also had a brimmed cap and a bandana pulled to try to obscure his face.
