Boulder Police Investigate Suspicious Incident Involving 3-Year-Old

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Boulder are investigating a suspicious incident involving a toddler and are asking for the public's help.

Police were called to the area of 1000 Grant Place about 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday after a father reported something suspicious involving his 3-year-old son and someone in a vehicle that stopped in front of the house.

The father said his son was standing on the sidewalk in front of their home when he noticed a vehicle drive by and then backup with the back passenger window rolled down.

The father said it appeared as though the driver was attempting to get the child into the vehicle.

As the father approached the car it drove off and parked about one block away. The person inside watched both the father and son until they went inside their home. The boy told his father the person inside asked his name and if he would like to go see a movie.

The vehicle is described as a canary yellow Subaru or Toyota sedan with dark-tinted windows and Colorado license plates. The driver was described as either white or Hispanic male with dark hair.
