Boulder County Sheriff Warns Of Fake Nonprofit 'Colorado Fire Relief'

BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- The Boulder County Sheriff's Office is warning about a fake nonprofit that is raising money. Authorities believe the "Colorado Fire Relief Foundation" is a scam.

They say the organization is not registered with the State of Colorado and the website domain appears to be from outside the U.S.

The Boulder County Sheriff's Office says those who want to donate should search a nonprofit's status before donating money.
