Boos In The First Game? No Way, Says Jake Plummer

DENVER (CBS4) - Former quarterback Jake Plummer says he's a little disappointed with the Broncos fans who decided to boo on Sunday.

"Booing does nothing. It's not a good sound to make if you're a real, true Broncos fan," Plummer told CBS4's Vic Lombardi on Auto Nation All Access Sunday night during a segment in which he analyzed the Broncos performance.

The boos came during the third quarter of the Broncos 19-13 win at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, in the midst a game that saw no offensive touchdowns for either the Broncos or their opponent.

Plummer admitted that it's any fan's right to boo, but he says Peyton Manning and the rest of the Broncos offense is still adjusting to a new scheme with a new coach.

"Be patient. Be patient with this offense," he said.

Plummer, who attended the game, said if nothing else, "don't jump on the boo wagon so soon."

"It's (only) the third quarter in the first game!" he said.
