Bonfils Blood Center Encourages Donations After Las Vegas Attack
DENVER (CBS4)- The Bonfils Blood Center in Colorado is encouraging people to donate blood in the wake of the deadliest shooting in U.S. history in Las Vegas.
Bonfils says one donation can help up to three patients.
Some people had started lining up outside some of the donation centers early Monday morning after they learned of the attack.
"I think we're all Americans and when times get bad, we all help each other out. What I'm doing is not significant or special in any real way, but anyway we can help each other out, let's do it," said blood donor Dave Lucitt.
They are asking for donors of all blood types, but especially O- and O+. That's because those are used the most in emergency situations.
Bonfils is part of a network of blood center and one of the members of that group will help supply blood to the victims in Las Vegas.
