Body Of Man Missing In Lake Granby Recovered

GRAND LAKE, Colo. (AP/CBS4) - The body of a 31-year-old man who disappeared in Lake Granby on Friday has been found.

Grand County Sheriff Brett Schroetlin says the body of Christopher Mullinex was recovered Monday, three days after he jumped in the water from a pontoon boat while fishing with friends. He never resurfaced.

The incident occurred in the area of Harvey Island on the east side of the lake about 2:15 p.m. Friday.

On Sunday evening, the Summit County dive team arrived to help in the recovery mission.

Grand County has no dive team or boats of its own. The sheriff says boats provided by the U.S. Forest Service, Colorado Parks and the Summit County dive team were used during the search and recovery.
