Body Found Where Residents Say Is Unusual Area For Crime

By Andrea Flores

DENVER (CBS4) - Denver police are investigating a death in the area of 47th Avenue and Kingston Street.

Crime tape surrounded 47th from Joliet to Kingston Saturday. Police blocked off the area for hours, releasing few details.

Donna Tabor lives in a camper nearby and says she woke up to police just outside her door.

"I was really afraid," said Tabor. "I didn't know what was going on, no one has told me anything."

Bradley Meyer does maintenance on buildings just outside the crime scene and says police activity in the industrial area is uncommon.

"We saw that the police and fire had these city blocks blocked off, which is unusual because we usually don't see anyone up here on the weekends," Meyer said.
