Bison Go To The Highest Bidders At Genesee Park
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Ranchers and breeders gathered Friday afternoon for an annual auction in Genesee Park in Jefferson County.
The sound was as interesting as the sights as Denver Parks and Recreation auctioned off some of Denver's American bison herd to make room for more bison.
The state first created the herd back in 1914. It was the first herd to be reintroduced in Colorado after the animal almost became extinct.
