The D1 Sports Facility is for both athletic training and injury rehab. It has a college style weight room, an indoor turf field and a basketball court -- to go along with the sports medicine clinic.

"I grew up in Park Hill at Skyline Recreation Center, which is Hiawatha Davis now. For then, that was like a huge deal for me. It had a gym, it had a swimming pool, it had everything. So I couldn't ask for much more," Billups said. "But this is any gym in a city basically on steroids. It really is."
