Bill Roberts School Gets New Garden Beds For Earth Day

DENVER (CBS4) - Earth Day celebrations are underway everywhere, including at Bill Roberts School in Denver's Stapleton neighborhood.

Landscaping specialists volunteered to fix up the garden beds at the school on Wednesday. They'll be used as part of the lessons on healthy eating.

The gardens are also being fixed so they are accessible for handicapped students.

The principal says the new gardens will be used year-round with volunteers from the school community doing the summer gardening.
