Bill Helping Lower-Middle Income Families With College Tuition Clears Hurdle

DENVER (CBS4) - The state House has passed a bill to provide more college scholarships.

The bill earmarks $30 million in the 2015-16 budget for scholarships or grants aimed at lower-middle income families who'd don't qualify for federal tuition help.

The money would go to Colorado residents to help pay for in-state tuition.

The bill now goes to the Senate.
