Bicyclist Seriously Injured In Hit & Run

ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - A driver struck a bicyclist on Friday night and then drove away, leaving the victim seriously injured.

Colorado State Patrol troopers told CBS4 that the female was riding her bicycle southbound on Lowell from 66th Avenue about 8:15 p.m. Friday when she was struck from behind. The driver, who police say was a man, took off.

Troopers determined the vehicle was a BMW from parts left at the scene.

The cyclist was seriously injured and rushed to the hospital where she underwent surgery.
