5 Best Punters In Broncos History

DENVER (CBS4) - In light of Broncos punter Britton Colquitt re-working his contract (pay cut), I came up with a list of what I believe to be the five best punters in Broncos history.

5) Bucky Dilts (1975-78)
Bucky Dilts was on the Broncos first Super Bowl team. And I love the name.

4) Mike Horan (1986-92)
Mike Horan punted in three Broncos Super Bowls.

3) Bill Van Heusen (1968-76)
Bill Van Heusen still holds the record for most punts in Broncos history. He booted it 574 times.

2) Bob Scarpitto (1965-67)
Bob Scarpitto averaged 44.4 yards per punt, which is the second best career mark in franchise history.

1) Tom Rouen (1993-98)
Tom Rouen was a two-time Super Bowl champion. He had the highest single-season average in team history (46.92). Plus, he gets bonus points for being a Denver native.
