Firefighters Battle House Fire Before It Spreads

BENNETT, Colo. (CBS4) - Firefighters tried to extinguish a burning home in Bennett on Tuesday afternoon before the flames spread to surrounding grass and brush.

Everyone inside the home was able to escape unharmed. Some pets remained unaccounted for during the fire -- a dog and three cats.

Fire crews rushed to the home at 489 Tom Bay Road after 2 p.m. Tuesday.

The Bennett Fire Department battled the blaze along with other agencies.
