"When we arrived on scene with the sheriff's department trying to get the animals out of a fully-involved barn. The barn had several animals in it including horses and goats and other domestic animals," said Bennett Fire Department firefighter Timothy McCawley.

The property owner was on vacation and his brother was taking care of the animals.

What caused the fire is being investigated but it's believed a space heater or old wiring in one of the buildings could have started the fire.
