Bennet Has More Than $4 Million For Senate Re-Election Campaign

DENVER (AP) - The campaign for Democratic U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet says it raised more than $2 million during the most recent fundraising quarter that ended June 30.

Bennet has no opposition for the Democratic nomination for a second full term. The second quarter haul gives the Bennet campaign more than $4 million in the bank.

Two Republicans have announced they'll challenge Bennet next year. The first is El Paso County Commissioner Darryl Glenn. The other is Greg Lopez, a former mayor of Parker and director of the Colorado office of the Small Business Administration

The Glenn and Lopez campaigns have not yet reported fundraising results, which are due this week.
