Bear Takes A Nap On CU Boulder Campus

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - Students at the University of Colorado Boulder campus got a surprise Friday morning when a bear decided it was the perfect spot for a nap.

The bear was spotted in a tree next to Cockerell Hall and stayed perched there for nearly four hours.

Colorado Parks and Wildfire officers tranquilized the bear and secured the area. It fell about 30 feet onto mats that cushioned its fall.

Rangers said the bear was not hurt and has been relocated.

Mitchell Byars with the Daily Camera tweeted out pictures of the event.
