ARVADA, Colo. (CBS4) - Arvada police reported around 5 a.m. Friday that two black bears had been spotted in town.

They were seen near West 64th Avenue and Indiana Street. Police notified the Colorado Department of Parks & Wildlife, and warned people to keep an eye on children and pets and not to approach a bear.

Reverse 911 calls were conducted for those within a half-mile radius of the bear sighting location, and several officers looked in the area.

They did not see the bears, and said they likely decided to go back to the wild.
