Bear Cub Wanders Into Wheat Ridge
WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. (CBS4) - There was another bear sighting in the suburbs Sunday morning.
A bear cub wandered into Wheat Ridge. It was spotted just north of Interstate 70 near Marshall Street.
Officers with Colorado Parks and Wildlife tranquilized the animal and moved the cub from the area.
It was one of a handful of recent bear sightings in the past week. Experts say the bears are trying to pack on the pounds for winter which can lead them closer to humans.
