Just more than a half hour later at 10:33 a.m., the Key Bank at 88 Lamar Street was held up.

This suspect was also a white man. He was thought to be 5-foot-7 to 5-9 with a thin build, and younger, perhaps in his 20s – 30s, with a thin face. He was wearing blue jeans, a dark grey jacket, black dress shoes, a yellow and black plaid button-down shirt, a maroon knitted hat, a maroon neck gaiter, and maroon gloves.

Police said they'd like anyone who has a business with exterior security cameras in those areas to check them for suspicious activity and contact them if they have any footage that might be helpful in their investigation.

The police activity forced a lockout for a short time at the Broomfield library and Health and Human Services building of the City and County of Broomfield. Two Adams County schools near the FirstBank were also briefly on a lockout.

Broomfield PD is working with the Federal Bureau of Investigations on the incidents. Bank robbery is a federal crime punishable by up to 20 years in prison for each offense - more if a weapon is used.
