NHRA, Bandimere Speedway Postpones Major Race Over Coronavirus Concerns
MORRISON, Colo. (CBS4) - The National Hot Rod Association has cancelled a major race set for Aug. 7-9. The postponement is over concerns of growing cases of coronavirus.
The Dodge Mile High NHRA Nationals will not happen on its originally scheduled weekend. No date has been set.
Bandimere Speedway says it is working with the NHRA to reschedule the race.

"We are dedicated to finding a date for our event to work this year," a Bandimere spokesperson stated through the NHRA. "We recognize that by postponing the event, we stand a much greater chance of having an event with more flexibility for everyone and we look forward to some amazing racing action."
Event ticket holders are being contacted by email, according to organizers.
Bandimere earned the ire of Jefferscon County Public Health officials after insufficient enforcement of county and state guidelines at the Jet Car Nationals on the 4th of July. The event culminated in a fireworks show. JCPH sought legal action for future events. A judge's decision is expected July 21.
