Drop Off Ballots Now To Get Vote Counted
DENVER (CBS4) - There are just a few hours left to drop off your ballot to be counted in the November election in Colorado.
If you still have your ballot, it's too late to mail it. Instead, drop it off to be counted by the deadline.
Secretary of State Wayne Williams appeared on CBS4 News At Noon with CBS4's Britt Moreno and he encouraged everyone to drop off their ballot because even one vote can make a difference.
"Don't mail your ballot, it won't get there in time," said Williams. "But we've got drop boxes all across the state that my office has worked to provide funding for. There is a drop box near you."
"If you misplaced your ballot, you can still vote in person until 7 o'clock tonight."
"When we talk about what really affects us, there are road issues, there are city council issues, there are school board issues... all of those things really take a key role in the quality of life in our community. And we've had races decided in Colorado, for school board for example, by a single vote," said Williams. "Your vote may really be the one that makes the difference."
All ballots need to be dropped off by 7 p.m.
