Baby Survives Fall From 3rd Floor Of Denver Apartment

DENVER (CBS4) - A 1-year-old boy survived a three story fall from an open window on Saturday afternoon.

It happened at an apartment building on Madison Street in Denver's Cherry Creek neighborhood.

Adults inside at the time said they thought the boy was asleep but he apparently woke up, got up on a chair and fell through the screen of an open window.

Emergency crews said he was crying when they arrived. The boy was listed in critical condition, but he is expected to survive.

Police are investigating and note that this is the time of year when residents start opening windows and forget that children can climb through them.
