Baby Gets Head Shaved In First-Ever Haircut At St. Baldrick's Fundraiser

DENVER (CBS4) - A baby was among those who got their St. Patrick's Day celebrations started on Friday with a haircut.

Steele, sporting a green mohawk, and his father went bald to raise money and awareness for the need for childhood cancer research.

The St. Baldrick's Foundation in Denver has raised nearly $3 million since 2002. All the money goes to find research to find cures for childhood cancer.

"We've been doing this for four years now and my husband has his own team," Steele's mother Jessica Garrison said at Fado Irish Pub, where the event took place. "This is just an amazing charity that we love being a part of."

The St. Baldrick's Foundation is holding 27 more of these event around the Denver metro area. They hope to raise $900,000.
