Avs Players Cheer Up At Annual Charity Brunch

DENVER (CBS4) - Despite their Saturday loss, the Avalanche were in a better mood Sunday afternoon at the Annual Charity Brunch put on by the Avs' better halves.

The event supports several local children's charities and included brunch served by the players and coaches, as well as a silent auction.

In addition, everyone always looks forward to the fashion show, where players walk the runway with a child who has overcome a medical challenge.

Captain Gabriel Landeskog and his partner danced down the runway with some sweet moves, while Cody McLeod brought some confetti pyrotechnics. And Ryan O'Reilly's catwalk comrade was in his element.

Children in the fashion show were referred by the Children's Diabetes Foundation, Children's Hospital Colorado Foundation, Rocky Mountain Children's Health Foundation, and Special Olympics Colorado.
