Resident Locks Self In Bedroom While Bear Raids Refrigerator

AVON, Colo. (CBS4) - The Eagle River Fire Protection District has released video showing that bear season is back on in Colorado.

Just before 5 a.m. Sunday firefighters got a call about a bear inside of a second floor apartment building in Avon. The crew was in the hallway when the bear poked his head out and fled.

The person living in the unit had locked himself in his bedroom while the bear ransacked the fridge.

Firefighters eventually got the bear out of the building but still don't know how it got in.

There were no injuries to the bear or people.
