The 35-year-old will be the 299th player in NHL history and the eighth Avalanche player to reach that milestone. The list includes Brad Stuart who played in his 1000th game Dec. 18 against the Penguins in Pittsburgh.

Tanguay has scored 813 points in his NHL career and has appeared in 98 playoff games.
