Authorities Say DNA Tests Needed To ID Stabbing Suspect

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Authorities say it will take DNA testing to identify a suspect in the stabbing of his wife, the couple's two young sons and his wife's father at a home in Cheyenne.

Investigators say the man fled in a car and crashed on Interstate 25 in northern Colorado, then walked back onto the roadway before being struck by multiple vehicles.

The Cheyenne Police Department says police went to the home late Friday after receiving several hang-up 911 calls. Officers found four people with multiple stab wounds from a knife. The victims were taken to a hospital and are in stable condition.

Police say officers were told that Randall Vanwoerkom had attacked his family after he was confronted by allegations of infidelity.
