Aurora Shooting Victim's Fundraiser Will Benefit Students With Disabilities

GLENDALE, Colo. (CBS4) - Friends and family of Alex Teves, one of the victims in the Aurora theater shooting, remembered and celebrated his life at a fundraiser on Sunday.

Teves was a teacher with a master's in psychology and an intern at the Humanex Academy in Englewood, which helps children with learning disabilities. Money raised Sunday at the event at Four Mile Historic Park will support scholarships to help those kids.

Teves' parents say answers are elusive two years later.

"There will never be making sense out of it," Caren Teves told CBS4. "Our heart is heavy every day. The 20th does not make it better or worse. Our hearts are broken every single day. What we try to do on this day is try to celebrate Alex's life."

Teves was 24.
