Brother, Sister Injured In Accidental Shooting In Aurora
AURORA, Colo. (CBS4)- A brother and sister were injured in what police are calling an accidental shooting in Aurora on Thursday afternoon. The shooting happened in the 3800 block of S. Fraser Street just before 2 p.m.
Officers rushed to the residence on reports of a shooting and found the two people, a boy and his sister, with non-life threatening injures. Both were taken to the hospital.
Police say the boy was handling a gun and accidentally shot himself.
The bullet then went through the wall and hit his sister.
The Aurora Police Department reported the brother and sister were 16 and 14 years old, respectively. But a family member later contacted CBS4 to say the ages were 17 and 11.
