3 Carjacking Suspects From Aurora Arrested In Routt County

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4)- Three carjacking suspects wanted in Aurora were arrested in Routt County on Friday.

The three male teenagers were wanted in a series of crimes including the carjacking of a Chevy Equinox that happened in Aurora on Thursday morning. The teens were reported to be armed and dangerous.

About 8:30 a.m. Friday a concerned resident of Routt County reported seeing the teens in the area of Routt County Road 7 near the National Forest boundary. The description of the teens and the vehicle matched those wanted out of Aurora.

Authorities surrounded a home where the teens were believed to be hiding and after negotiations, the teens surrendered.

They have been charged with two counts of criminal mischief, first-degree criminal trespass and second-degree burglary.
