Police say the driver and two pedestrians are among those who died.

"Traffic investigators are on scene. They will electronically scan the area & piece together what led up to this tragic crash," APD stated on social media.

It's not clear if the pedestrians were related, but police say they are not children.

Francisco Saucedo, Aurora Police spokesman, says it appears the driver suffered a medical problem, but it's not clear of what nature.

The driver was heading west when they hit the pedestrians who were on the sidewalk. Three pedestrians were hit; two died and the third was taken to the hospital out of precaution.

Police say good Samaritans rushed to the victims to help until first responders arrived.

The driver was in a white van and had a passenger. That passenger was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
