Aurora Firefighters Rescue Person From Burning Home

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - Firefighters in Aurora had to rescue a person from a burning home Tuesday afternoon.

According to a fire department spokesperson, the fire broke out at a home located at 1293 South Troy Street at approximately 3 p.m. One person was rescued from the home by ladder through a window.

The person, who was the only one in the home, was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

A dog was also rescued and was taken in by Animal Control.

Firefighters were able to put the fire out quickly. The cause is under investigation.
