Aurora Fire Chief Announces Retirement

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - Aurora Fire Chief Mike Garcia has announced he is retiring as of Oct. 31, nine years to the day after he became chief of his department.

"I wish I had 38 more years to give back", Garcia told CBS4.

Garcia, who will turn 60 next month, said he plans to spend more time with family members including his ten grandchildren. He made the announcement to his department and Aurora city officials Tuesday.
