Attempted Liquor Store Robbery Ends With Police-Involved Shooting

CENTENNIAL, Colo. (CBS4) - Police responded to a call of a liquor store robbery early Tuesday morning in the Arapahoe Village Shopping Center.

The incident began at about 12:30 a.m. at 5050 East Arapahoe Road in Centennial.

When officers arrived, the suspect rammed his vehicle into the squad cars. One deputy was hit by the suspect's car and was taken to the hospital.

A second deputy then shot the suspect, who was also transported to the hospital, with non-life threatening injuries.

Officials reopened the shopping plaza at about 5:40 a.m., while the parking area around the suspect vehicle remained blocked off.
