Possible Attempted Child Abduction Reported In Adams County

ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – The Adams County Sheriff's Office has issued a warning after what they believe was an attempted abduction on Thursday.

Authorities say a man in a pickup truck tried to lure a 10-year-old student over to the pickup during recess at Metz Elementary School located at 2341 Sherrelwood Drive in Adams County.

The student notified a teacher and the truck drove away.

The teacher reported two people inside the white pickup that had a thick blue or teal stripe on the side. The teacher described one of the people in the pickup as a Hispanic man between 35 and 40 years old with brown hair.

The Adams County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone who witnessed this incident, or may have any information about the suspects in this case or their vehicle to please contact the Sheriff's Office at 303-288-1535. The Sheriff's Office will not be releasing any further information about the victim in this case.
