Attempted Arson Suspect Makes Night Deposit Of Gasoline At Wells Fargo

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - Police in Colorado Springs would like the public's help identifying an attempted arson investigation.

According to police, on Sept. 8 firefighters and police responded to a call about a gas smell at the Wells Fargo Bank located at 5495 North Academy Boulevard.

"A glass jar filled with suspected gasoline was located in the overnight drop box on the side of the building," police said in a statement. "Review of the security footage showed a lone suspect who attempted to light the jar on fire prior to placing it inside the drop box."

In the video the suspect can be seen arriving on a bicycle. It also shows a flash of fire that may have burned the suspect.
