As Rams Face Off Against Utah, More Coaching Rumors Swirl

DENVER (CBS4) - Add former CSU running back Tony Alford to the list of candidates for the Rams' coaching job.

The Fort Collins Coloradoan reported the current Notre Dame running backs coach met with CSU's search firm for two hours on Tuesday in Chicago.

The Rams, meanwhile, are in Las Vegas. They arrived earlier this week to some fanfare at the Hard Rock Hotel. CSU plays Utah on Saturday in the Las Vegas Bowl.

CSU interim coach Dave Baldwin said there were no distractions for the players in Sin City.

"We came in late and it was drizzling and we went to the hotel. We had the local police officers and an ex-officer that played for us on a bowl team talk to our kids. And then we turned them loose. Everybody made the curfew, and I was really impressed with that," he said.
