Arvada Launches 'Heads Up' Campaign For Pedestrian Safety

ARVADA, Colo. (CBS4) - The city of Arvada wants to encourage residents and visitors to follow the rules of the road around crosswalks. They launched a pedestrian safety campaign called Heads Up.

City officials used data from the past five years in their research. It showed two-thirds collisions among bikes and pedestrians happen outside of the crosswalk.

The city is offering education material online and at bus shelters to help residents be alert and aware while using crosswalks.
